Yes, your faith and connection to God have a direct correlation to your fitness goals with your body. With fitness and diet, like your faith and belief in God, there's no cheating and it requires hard work and dedication till the very end.
Everyone is now looking for shortcuts and how to achieve their ideal body type by not eating certain food groups all together (no sugar or carbs ex.) and eliminating fitness all together. Even then, more people each and every day are adding to that plan by supplementing it with diet pills and shots which does lose the weight but also eliminates muscle mass in the same process.
On the surface, the body looks healthy but under it, the body struggles sustaining this lifestyle. Hence why when individuals have "cheat" moments under these types of diet plans, they immediately pick up the weight they worked so hard to lose for months. We Feel your pain...Keep reading
It's extremely simple and not attractive but has worked since the beginning of man.
Watch your calories, keep your faith strong with God and go workout. That's it. No secrets or fillers. Just hard work, dedication and most importantly Faith.
So many times, as humans we look for instant gratification when trying new or different things. This especially applies when it comes to fitness goals and diet. We then go online, try all these new diets and realize we're not happy with them or something doesn't quite feel right about them. Or worse, they do damage to our bodies.
Yes, just calories are all you have to watch. The irony is that most, if not all, diets tie to calories in the long run. For example, take a diet that says no sugar or carbs. Have you ever asked yourself why? Yes, in excess these things do harmful things to our bodies but these items are also huge in calorie counts.
Take a diet that says meat only. Guess what, much lower calorie intake at the end of the day. See the correlation?
It's all calories. So, where should I be with my calories? Before I dive into this, understand that everyone is different and you know your body better than anyone. Always consult with your primary doctor/physician. This isn't advice meant to be taking medically but more as a guide. I encourage you do mold your calories to your lifestyle and what you're looking to achieve. For example, bulking vs cutting.
Males - 2000 - 2500 calories per day subject to weight, height, and body goals (bulking or cutting).
Females - 1750 - 2000 calories per day subject to weight, height, and body goals (bulking or cutting).
If you want to Bulk - focus your workouts on strength and resistance training like lifting or bands. Keep it simple and do it often with proper relaxed form and you'll get results.
If you want to Cut - Focus your workouts on cardio. Run or walk, keep it simple. The key is to be consistent and do it often with proper relaxed form and you'll get results.
The common factor between the two goals is simple; remain active and consistent.
Eating clean is extremely important while watching your calories. Life is all about balance and your diet ties into that as well. Just like harmful things that we do within our lifestyle that are fun but have negative impacts on us morally if we do too much of it. Everything has to be done in moderation and requires balance.
Eat what you want but have balance. For example, at lunch if you want a double cheeseburger. Eat it and it's fine. Understand that it's going to take a huge bulk of your calories and supplement your dinner with a much lighter meal like a salad and you'll be fine.
This approach is very simple and allows us to enjoy the things we love while also having discipline but you're not out the woods yet...
Our Meal Plan Recommendations: 80% Quality Protein - 10% Vegetables/Fruit - 5% Grains - 5% Sweets/Fun/Cheat Foods
This is what our team has found that works for us very well. High protein combined with Vegetables and some Grains (but not too much). Life is too short so you can see that we included sweets as well. Enjoy your life and treat yourself here and there.
*We're not medical scientist and you're free to pursue any diet you seem fit for your body recommended by your professional Doctor.*
Just because you're eating right but not working out is robbing your body and image of its full potential. You should do both for major benefits. You'll obtain a healthier and more appealing body that's stronger and more active. Most importantly, working out is great for the mind and helping us with our internal demons that we battle every day.
Someone makes you angry? Instead of retaliating, go workout. Someone cuts your off in traffic, head home and workout. Your boss giving you a hard time, workout once your home. Having finance or love issues, go workout. See the pattern?
It's absolutely amazing what you learn about yourself while you're working out. I encourage you to pray and talk to God as you're working out and your connection with him will grow exponentially.
You're working on channeling your internal demons while also controlling your thoughts instead of reacting and hurting the people around you. We're meant to love, not hate.
Have you ever had an encounter or someone described an encounter to you of meeting or seeing someone that came into their life briefly and made an positive impact with them? They described them as an angel mostly or something different about these individuals that they can't quite put a finger on.
You know the common trait that these individuals have? Beauty and fitness. Regardless of the religion you believe in, most bibles or ancient texts describe angels as beautiful beings with amazing bodies in their human form.
Long as your faith is strong, pure, and loving we all have the ability to become angels as humans. Practice an healthy lifestyle of being loving and kind while remaining disciplined, and only worship God and God only and never another human, you'll be blessed.
Once blessed, you'll notice major changes within your bodies and an attraction level that only can be described once you experience it yourself. Nobody will believe you when you speak on it, but they'll see the difference in you with your energy and aura.
We all have the ability to become angels, and we just gave you a great starting point of becoming one with God and the Universe. Keeping a loving heart, eat right and work hard on your bodies and the world will open up to you in ways that are unexplainable but magical. I promise you that you'll never look back once you see what we see.
Now, no more excuses. Get out there and take control of your life and body. God loves you and we love you.
