I remember a time where I would visit my favorite coffee shop and I would walk up to pay for my coffee and the person behind the counter would inform me that it's already covered by the person before you. This is known as "Paying it Forward," is an extremely kind and loving act. It would touch my heart and I would immediately do the same for the person behind me. Then, something magical happens with the energy in the room where that chain would go on and on while we wait and hope that it doesn't end. This one act of kindness would result in many customers obtaining free coffee while expressing gratitude and doing the same for someone else. The energy is magnetic.
Now ask yourself, how often does that happen now? Not often or ever anymore, right? So why? What happened to us?
Let's take an honest hard look at ourselves. It's easy to say, "Well, why would I if they didn't do the same for me?" God has shown us that this isn't the way to be. Regardless of how someone treats us negatively, we're not suppose to give them the same negative energy back. God put us here to love on one another. Instead, show them love and kindness. How? Stop being selfish and be the change.
You sparking something as simple as Paying it Forward will then spark an magnetic chain of events of love and kindness. Not to mention, deep within you'll feel amazing yourself.
It also doesn't always have to be anything major, it could be something as simple as helping the homeless with the spare change that you have. Any and all acts of kindness will grow your heart as long as it comes from a good place within yourself. If you seek fame, don't bother as God feels your intentions and understands your agenda. It's great to bless others but don't seek an reward. Keep all of your acts genuine. Even in moments where the person you're helping doesn't say "Thank you." It's ok because what you did came from a place of Love and is between God and yourself, not for a thank you from another human (albeit they should say it).
Express constant gratitude and always give, never take. If you follow this and believe in God, your heart and blessings will magnify in ways I can't express with words. All of us have been taught through the media to only worry about ourselves and to take from someone instead of giving. I encourage you all to slow down and do the opposite. If someone gives you something, in return give them something back and express gratitude.
Simple acts such as holding the door open for someone or grabbing a grocery cart for the elders is a great start. The love in your heart will grow with each act and you'll become less selfish in the process. These acts of kindness will guide your heart back to love and not hate and selfishness.
Remember to always say thank you, share and be kind to any and every stranger you encounter!
We love you and God loves you. ♥️
